Luminosity Sensor Probe (Luxes accuracy)
Sensor specifications (Luxes accuracy) Dynamic range: 0.1 to 40000 Lux Spectral range: 300 – 1100 nm Voltage range: 2.7 – 3.6 V Operating temperature: -30 ºC to +80 ºC Typical consumption: 0.24 mA Maximum consumption: 0.6 mA Usage: Indoors and outdoors This is a light-to-digital converter that transforms light intensity into a digital signal output. This device combines one broadband photo-diode (visible plus infrared) and one infrared-responding photo-diode on a single CMOS integrated circuit capable of providing a near-photopic response over an effective 20-bit dynamic range (16-bit resolution). Two integrating ADCs convert the photo-diode currents to a digital output that represents the irradiance measured on each channel. This digital output in lux is derived using an empirical formula to approximate the human eye response.
